This Thursday, Eco Medics is delighted to be hosting a talk in conjunction with Doctors Association UK addressing the climate crisis and sustainable healthcare. In this not-to-be-missed webinar, Nathan will discuss the latest climate predictions, the health implications of climate change, the impact of healthcare on the environment, and he will provide guidance on the steps we can all take to be sustainable both at home and at work.

Dr Hudson-Peacock is an emergency medicine junior doctor based in London, with interests in expedition medicine and sustainable healthcare. He is also the founder of Eco Medics, a non-profit organisation tackling the climate crisis and sustainability within the healthcare industry, and is a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and of the Royal Society of Arts.
With climate related morbidity and mortality increasing across the globe at an alarming rate (including trauma from extreme weather, starvation from drought, and vector-borne diseases to name a few), it is Nathan’s firm belief that healthcare professionals have the ability, and indeed a duty, to take a leading role when it comes to tackling the climate crisis. In order to do this, we must first address the vast carbon impact of the healthcare industry itself.
